At Il Cigliere we grow vegetables and fruits in a garden and an orchard, and our guests can freely pick up what they need.

At their arrival we usually prepare a “welcome” basket with our products from the garden as well as a taste of homemade jam and a bottle of our olive oil… all from Il Cigliere

USEFUL

Il Cigliere is in a strategic position being close to many major art cities of Tuscany, easily reachable by car or train.
6 km away from Il Cigliere  is situated the town of Vinci, birthplace of renaissance genius Leonardo, where is possible to visit the museum. www.museoleonardiano.it.

Vinci is situated on the hills of Montalbano, in an unique landscape of vineyards, olive groves and chestnut woods, hence lots of walking and cycling began with an area of ​​about 46 km.

Il Cigliere is just 7km away from Empoli, main town of the area, where you can find almost everything, shops, restaurants, shopping malls and the railway station with connection to the cultural towns of Tuscany (Florence 30 min – Pisa 40 min – Siena 50 min).
Railway station is well organized and it’s definitely better to move by train than by car if you want to visit Florence or Pisa. (trains depart in both directions every 20 – 30 min)

Shops in Empoli open from 9:30am to 01:00pm and from 04:00pm to 08:00pm. Shopping centers are open all day and all the second Sunday of each month.
In July on Tuesday and Thursday shops downtown are open until 12:00pm.
